Spectacles, prescription glasses, sunglasses and reading glasses cannot be recycled using your council’s recycling collection service.
RECYCLE OUT OF HOME = YES
Spectacles, prescription glasses, sunglasses and reading glasses can be recycled at your council-run Household Reuse and Recycling Centre.
Some High Street opticians accept old spectacles and glasses for recycling as do some charity shops – find your local charity shops on the Charity Retail Association website. Or you can post your old spectacles to the Lions Club.
