Recycle at home = Yes
Old pizza boxes that are made of cardboard are recyclable as long as they aren’t too greasy or food-stained.
If they are clean and dry, put them in your paper and card recycling bin.
Recycle at home = Yes
Clean and dry pizza boxes can be recycled at local collection points or at your council-run Household Reuse and Recycling Centre.
Be a great recycler…
- Pizza boxes that are greasy or have lots of food left on them (e.g. melted cheese) should be put in your rubbish bin
- Card and cardboard should be kept clean and dry – please close the lid on your bin
- Wet or dirty card and cardboard should be placed in your rubbish bin
- If in doubt, leave it out. Don’t let your enthusiasm to recycle contaminate a whole truck load of recycling – see What is ‘contamination’ and why is it important?
