Lagan Construction Group administration – statement

The South London Waste Partnership (SLWP) has been working closely with Viridor to understand any potential impacts of Lagan Construction Group Holdings Limited’s announcement on 20 February 2018 that it plans to put four of its companies into administration.

Lagan Construction is one of the contractors working on the Beddington Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) construction project.

The construction of the ERF is nearing completion and the facility is currently in the commissioning phase, when all the separate parts of the waste treatment process are tested to ensure they are operating correctly and within the stringent safety limits.  This commissioning work is being carried out by another contractor, CNIM, and this work continues.

Viridor have confirmed that no changes to the current timeline are expected as a result of the Lagan Construction announcement.
